Bronwyn Avard

Bronwyn graduated Medicine from Newcastle University. Bronwyn worked at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney for her early training and has been in Canberra since 2004. Bronwyn has worked in various roles in our unit including Senior Registrar, Staff Specialist, Supervisor of Training, Deputy & now the ICU Clinical Director.

Bronwyn has an interest in work-life balance and staff wellbeing as well as optimising our education and training/support of junior staff of all disciplines, the multidisciplinary approach to training and care of our patients and the management of the long term ICU patient. She convenes the Supervisor of Training workshop for the College of Intensive Care, is a Primary Examiner for the College and contributes to other College activities such as policy writing.

Bronwyn has an interest in cooking and in travelling with her family.  She loves photography and other artistic expression such as painting, knitting and crochet.
