Anil is one of the newest consultants in the ICU. He graduated from Mumbai University in India and then acquired post graduate qualification (MD) in respiratory medicine from Pune University.
On his journey to become an Intensivist, Anil has acquired the ICU fellowship in India (IFCCM) and European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC), finally culminating in the Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (FCICM). Anil has learnt Simulation debriefing techniques from the Centre of Medical Simulation (Harvard) and has been doing simulation based teaching at St George Hospital, Sydney as a Sim Fellow. He is interested in teaching the trainees using both simulation and didactic or one on one. He also likes to teach Chest X rays and HRCTs and also is interested in teaching and performing bronchoscopies in intubated and non-intubated patients.
Anil is currently researching literature on attitudes and beliefs about Organ Donation. He has also recently completed a project about discomforts experienced by patients in ICU.
Outside ICU Anil is a devoted husband who likes to cook and eat-out and also watch Netflix! Basically ask him anything about television.
